Location of work: Cyberjaya, Selangor
JOB PURPOSE
To serve as the Company’s in-house legal for a fast-growing Data Center business that
is part of a global group.
The role reports to the Head of Corporate Services and works closely with the local
management team, regional and HQ legal and business teams.
FUNCTIONS
Legal Work
1. Draft and review all commercial/ operational agreements i.e. purchase agreement and related purchase order, LOA, construction agreement, co-location service agreement, lease agreement, consultancy agreement, tender documents (RFP).
2. Attend negotiations and meetings with counter parties e.g., suppliers,
customers and consultants.
3. Provide timely advice to internal stakeholders on the legal risks associated with
the Company’s business and operations.
4. Support HQ and the regional team on M&A transactions i.e., due diligence on
target companies, review of transaction documents, attending to closing
formalities, facts gathering and reporting.
5. Monitor and manage litigation and other contentious matters.
6. Render assistance and support to internal Functions to ensure compliance with
laws and regulations.
7. Liaise with and manage external legal advisors.
8. Attend and liaise with appropriate authorities and regulatory bodies.
9. Draft and/or support implementation of Company policies including conducting
training, as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong hands-on experience on legal matters
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good time-management, organizational and presentation skills
- Chinese(Mandarin) speaker is a big plus.
- Minimum qualification is Degree in Law from a recognised university.
- Admission to the Malaysian BAR is required
- Minimum 5 years and above of working experience in both in-house and private
practice
- Familiar with practice of bank guarantee and FIDIC series of contracts and other
commonly used international contract templates, specialized in constructions, procurement and general corporate legal issues

Salary: RM9,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
